Waraka Tusuy, a native dance from Cuzco, is a favorite recording piece with Peruvian flute singers and is given a bravura performance by Yma.  Her performance ranks with Sipas Tika as one of the best.  Yma's voice rings out with authority in the studio's acoustics and her rise to a pair of high Cs belies the difficulty in such a feat.  Yma's performance is certainly better than the sluggish, heavy-handed version by Wara Wara.  A staccato marathon, Yma dances faster and faster among the intricate passages.  It is unfortunate that this recording is not better known.
